Kary’s passion for the heart of the individual, and the inevitable transitions we all move through is reflected in his brand of consulting and counseling.  Whether Kary is working with a founder/owner preparing for succession transition, a CEO and their team, speaking or board development, or helping someone through career questions, he offers profound insight, masterful facilitation, and integrity that touches the heart of the individual.

He has worked in leadership development and corporate strategic development for over 20 years as the owner/president with his team at Whetstone, Inc. He is also a licensed counselor with his own therapy practice, LifeGate Counseling – both based in the Chicago suburbs.  Whether in the corporate arena or therapeutic arena, Kary works with clients to engage in the process of facilitating life change to gain clarity, and purpose to clients in all seasons of life.

Kary has a degree in Organizational Leadership from Trinity University, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University, and attended Indiana University for a degree in Music Education.
