In Episode 45 of the Paterson Podcast, we begin a five-part mini-series, exploring the five phases of the Journey to Live Life’s Purpose. We begin with the first phase: Awakening and Awareness.
Back in 2006, after guiding hundreds of people through the LifePlan Process, Pete Richardson sat in a cafe in Kansas City and started to reflect on the collection of those experiences. In each of those stories, he saw the human desire to find meaningful existence and purpose. “What if we zoomed out,” thought Pete, “to see things from a higher level; what patterns and commonalities would we see in the human journey?” “If there was a map to that journey, what would it look like?” And with that, Pete began to sketch out a map in his notebook. That framework is what we now call The Journey to Live Life’s Purpose.
“Awaking and awareness is the place where we begin to ask new questions; awakening to truths that are real, but that we haven’t been able to see before. It’s the place where we become fully conscious of our need to know who we are and why we are here,” says Stephen Milburn, co-host of today’s episode
Join us as we take a look at what it means to awaken, to evaluate, and to assess our landscape – both externally and internally – and how that can inform our next steps.
